Travertine Slabs
Since antiquity, travertine has been used to build many things. Building uses for travertine have ranged from roads and aqueducts to the Coliseum in Rome. This natural stone has a versatile appearance that lends itself to being used in a wide variety of design applications. This is a durable stone that can be used indoors or out. The colors of travertine range in natural earth tones from light canvas to chocolate brown and from silver to golden brown. Travertine slabs are available in vein cut, honed and filled, polished and filled, and unfilled. Travertine slabs can be used to make vanity tops, tub decks, fireplace surrounds, slab showers and furniture tops. Travertine is naturally full of holes that were formed during its creation. This is why the finish descriptions commonly refer to the word ‘filled’, as in honed and filled. Please note our inventory of travertine slabs does change daily.
