Travertine tiles are installed using either thinset or dry pack - depending on the quality of the subfloor.

Here are some photos of an outdoor bathroom installation using Tuscan 18" Polished Travertine on a diamond pattern with matching bullnosed baseboard.  This was then sealed using BulletProof Sealer.
